Life on Eden Street (2008)
I love Niger. I can’t always tell you why, but I just do. It’s a strange place. It’s different from most other places on earth. It lacks tempo and several other Western values that we seem to think of as general virtues these days; but it’s genuine and generous and I love that about it.
Aichatu & Mina (2008)
Having mingled a lot within the expat community lately, I have been reminded yet again that Niger is a place where you can only thrive if you have a heart for the people. No amount of money will make it worth your while unless you thoroughly enjoy what you are doing; and no aid will ever be sustainable unless you do it with a passion and a heart.
I love Niger. I can’t always tell you why, but it adds something special to my life. It isn’t always a dance on roses, but knowing what life is like on the opposite spectrum, I would not want it any other way.

Niger surely looks beautiful through your pictures, have never been but it does look like an amazing place, completely laid back, like its own little world on earth
It’s good to love where you live – You’re very fortunate. Hope you’re having fun with your dad and your sister. How is Arwen doing? Still with child?
@O: You’re so right, Niger IS a world of its own!
@Victoria: Arwen’s doing well, still in foal and still craving some racing gear from time to time…!
