Having two “newborns” at the Ark has not made us forget our older fillies. Kalahari, soon to be two, is her mother’s lookalike and stunningly beautiful. Like Isolde, Kalahari lets us know that she is serious about working with humans and can’t wait for her turn to carry the saddle. In the meantime, she gets [...]

Due to lacking Internet connection, I have not been able to share out great Christmas present this year: namely a little newborn foal, delivered by Ebony on the night to Sunday exactly a week ago! The baby foal, born a week before expected delivery, arrived while we were away during the evening and caused some [...]

One of the things I love about our horses is how they always want us to know they’re ready for action. Ivory, Isolde and Kalahari – our three “youngsters” at the Ark (with Diva being the baby) – all in need of special attention and cuddles. I love a horse that wants to work and [...]

But better soon than later, and anything that happens for the first time is definitively worth sharing! Diva was certainly young when she got to join us [...]

It’s a playground for any photographer, both amateur and professional. I’m lucky to have sun scenery so close at hand! For other skies around the world, click here!

I can’t believe our little Diva is already two weeks old today! Time flies and she is developing so fast. She’s a pampered little princess at the ark who receives special attention from all humans, canines and equine companions. Only the goats pay her no attention, which might explain why she cases them around… Or [...]

Isthar Winter Days: At the field station, working out in the open, having a snack straight from nature’s pantry under a brilliantly blue winter sky. This is my favourite time of the year and Eden’s field station is a world of discovery for me. Famine food rocks! I’m so surprised I haven’t stumbled upon the [...]
