It’s wintertime – my favourite season in Niger – and the sky is being painted in beautiful colours. It’s really cold at night and I’m sleeping outside whenever the sky is clear, enjoying the chil air brush against my face and waking to a beautiful sunrise display, unique for every morning, with the dogs sleeping at my side.

Life’s been rough these past two years with one heartache filing up after another, but throughout all this, my heart is still full of hope. When I’m sad, I look at the sky and I ask God to wrap his arms around me, and he does, holding my heart close to his. I have so many things to be grateful for, and the beautiful skies are a daily reminder.
