Ever since Diva was a baby foal, she has loved water.

Actually, all our barbs have come to love getting wet and can spend hours splashing their bellies the cold muddy waters,

…but Diva has a special approach…

Ever since Diva was first introduced to water,

…she wanted to be IN it.

She’ll make a snowman in water,

…and then roll around in it, never minding if she gets her face wet.

201111-p1030665

Except for her mother Arwen, I’ve never met a horse that loved water that much!

201111-p1030670

As a yearling, she is still very fascinated by all the things taking place around us,

201111-p1030668

…but this will not stop her from plunging into the water WHILE looking at an interesting happening elsewhere.

201111-p1030667

Of course, the end result of an equine teenager trying to do two things at the same time is far from elegant,

201111-p1030689

…but Diva’s love for water is so genuine that it makes us all smile!

After the bath, the routine is to rub herself against her mother’s back (if Arwen is not there, Diva’s big sister Isolde will do as a substitute),

…and then end the perfect activity with some basking in the sun…
